Tech Note: Recommended Method for the Identification of PVY-n
This ELISA test is a qualitative serological assay for the detection of Potato virus Y - necrotic strain (PVY-n) in potato leaves and sprouts. PVY-n is a member of the Potyvirus genus known for their non-enveloped, flexuous, filamentous virus particles. This test also detects the PVY-NTN strains that cause the tuber necrotic ringspot disease (PTNRD) of potatoes.
