PathoScreen® Kit for Ribgrass mosaic virus (RMV)
This ELISA test is a qualitative serological assay for the detection of Ribgrass mosaic virus (RMV) in crops including vegetables and ornamentals. RMV is a member of the Tobamovirus genus known for their rod-shaped virus particles.
Ribgrass mosaic virus is classified as a subgroup 3 Tobamovirus, and this subgroup includes Turnip vein clearing virus (TVCV) and Youcai mosaic virus (YoMV). This classification was designated based on common host range and serological cross-reactivity due to amino acid composition of coat proteins. Ribgrass mosaic virus has an ever-expanding host range that includes multiple plant families containing numerous species of ornamental and horticultural crops.
